Special Interest Tours
The Northern Cyprus Economy and Tourist Ministry are to produce a booklet which will help promote Turkish Cyprus history, culture and nature. The book which will be called "Special Interest Tours" will include detailed information on a range on activities that North Cyprus has to offer. Tours such as visits to the ancient city of Salamis and the old copper mines will be on their list along with trips to the unique orchids in Cyprus.

It will promote sightseeing tours and give the visitor a glimpse of the North Cypriot way of life. It is hoped that the introduction of this book will help increase tourism and revenue.

Why North Cyprus
Now that there are a number of low costs airlines flying to Cyprus it's becoming more popular with buyers wanting to invest. But this is not the only thing that is attracting foreign buyers to the Island. The hospitality of the locals is warm and friendly and English is widely spoken. Add to this that they drive on the same side as us its no wonder Cyprus has a large ex-pat community.

This Mediterranean island enjoys year round sun and has plenty to offer any buyer. Northern Cyprus is still relatively untouched and has plenty of character. Property prices are still low with beach front locations from as little as £30k, where else can you get value for money like this.

Cyprus is tipped as a property hot spot for 2008 along with Portugal and France.

Celebrate in Cyprus
Limassol will hold its annual spring carnival which will start on 28th February this year. The celebrations which date back hundreds of years will last for 10 days include parties, parades and music. The streets will be decorated especially near the Lemesos castle.

When the carnival king arrives this marks the start of the carnival, followed by a children's parade on 2nd March. This is followed by music shows and the Grande Carnival Parade which is held on Sunday 9th March.

If you are going to Cyprus make sure you include this event in your plans.
