July News and Information for North Cyprus
Local Festivals in July There are a number of festivals in North Cyprus during July. The town of Iskele has the International Folk Dancing Festival and also the Iskele festival both of these start on 5th July and run to the middle of the month. There is also Folk Dancing festivals held at Lefkosa and Gonyeli. Wheras the town of Lefke hosts a Walnut festival.
The month of July is also home to the Peace and Freedom festival which is held on 20th July. Another special event is the Harvest celebration which is dedicated to oranges, grapes and olives. North Cypriots enjoy these festivities with family and friends along with traditional music and local style cooking.
