Euro in Cyprus As Cyprus enters the Euro some say it's the end of an era as the Cyprus pound finally disappears. Already around CYP 500 million notes and CYP 45 million coins have already been recalled.
The old CYP notes and coins will be scrapped in favour of the Euro. Any old bank notes can be exchanged free of charge at banks and Co-ops till December 31st 2017and coins till December 31st 2009.
