October News and Information for North Cyprus
Olive Festival October will see the 7th International Olive Festival which will start in the village of Girne. The festival which opens in Girne with a cortege will then move on to Zeytinlik where the opening ceremony will be.
The festival was attended by the Mayors of Girne and Karsiyaka and the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Speeches where given about olive production and how important it was to pass onto the next generation of olive grower.
The festival will have art exhibitions, craft stalls, dance and theatre shows and an olive inspired food competition which will attract many visitors before it ends on 16th October.
