Esentepe Area Guide
Located not far from Kyrenia, Esentepe which means "windy hill" is a popular town for those wanting to purchase in North Cyprus. Esentepe has excellent sandy beaches making it the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. Being surrounded by the Kyrenia Mountains keeps Esentepe cooler in the hot summer months due to the gentle breeze they give.
The popularity of Esentepe has grown over the years as holiday makers choose to come back each year and like it so much they decide to purchase here.
There are a number of shops, bars and restaurants in Esentepe which serve local cuisine. The town also has a number of historic buildings such as the domed Antiphontis Church which is from the 12th centuary.
There is also a forest nearby which is good for hill walking or trekking, there are a number of walks available and it's great for taking in the beautiful scenery.
If you like golf then there is a newly built golf course and club in Esentepe which is open all year.
